I take school work very seriously. I feel I have to work very hard to earn the best grade possible in every class. Achievement is what I desire. To learn I need an enviorment where a teacher and student interact well. I like class disscusions.

Below are the goals for my Foundations of College Writing Course.
For each goal, I've selected work that demonstrates how I addressed that goal during the course,
and explained how, citing specific examples from my work.

Goal A - Students will be able to compose
for particular audiences and purposes
The paper I worte on my interview with Mr. Domiso Josey.
I had to interview him then write about my exsperience.
I wrote this paper with the purpose of explaing the type of writting I would have to do for my career. The audience would be any one looking in to Mass Communications. These readers would be interetsred and gain imforamation from my paper. They may even be able to relate and have feedback.
Goal B - Students will be able to compose using
language and conventions appropriate to genre

In composing this I wanted to sound like a news paper journalist reporting her death. I believe I had to share the news off her death in a perfessional manner and still tell a little bit about the life she lived. In example
"Born into a middle-class family in JundiaĆ­, Brazil Reston dreamed of one day
becoming a supermodel. At the age of just 13 Reston was discovered. Her dream
came true and Reston was blessed with the opportunity to travel the world, do
something she loved, and take care of her family"
I believe the language I used was aproperiate for the genre and it still had an emotional feel to it.
Goal C - Students will be able to read, select, and use

evidence critically to formulate and support arguments

a variety of media and print/non-print genres

For both of these genres I used my interpretation of an orginal and composed my own. I wanted to make sure both my artice and interview had the voice of a real professional genre. I also wanted to be sure my genre was creative in my own way but it still had the look of an professional genre. Here's an exaple of my interview
